Wedding Pictures - Part 2

TODAY THERE ARE PICTURES OF HUMANS!_DSC8938 (2)

So that you know I didn't steal that last batch from Pinterest.  I was worried you thought that.

Three months and 1 day ago, Jay and I made things totes legit so that our dogs wouldn't be embarrassed of us anymore.  It was the best day, and since I know you're not sick of hearing about it yet we're going to look at some pictures together, ok?

Our photographers, DSC_0276 (3)

Or pregnant.  Whatevs. DSC_0202 (2)

Our wedding day started out pouring rain for, like, ever.  It stopped JUUUUUUUST as the photographers showed up to start pictures with the girls, so, phew.  Muddy but not rainy was fine with us!_DSC8875 (2)

I got ready at my parents' rental house, which was GORGEOUS, and Jay got ready with his dudes at one of the cabins that most of them were staying at.  _DSC9080

My sisters had made a sweet-ass mix of super duper oldie but goodie girl music that we grew up to, and it was SO MUCH FUN to dance around the house and work on hair and makeup all together!  The blast-from-the-past nonsensical music also kept me distracted from being totally ridiculously nervous, so I was only normal nervous instead.  Awesome.  _DSC8888 (2)

When Michelle and Chris arrived, they wanted to go ahead and photograph me getting into my dress, which made nerves skyrocket to 1 billion because it was wayyyyy earlier than I thought AND I didn't have makeup on yet so AWESOME!  This is my face realizing that I'm going to not be breathing for the better part of 10 hours instead of 7 like I had mentally prepared for.  Oh well!DSC_0101 (2)

Once the dress was on, my sister/MOH decided I should start drinking wine.  Because clearly a massive tight dress is an ideal vessel for behavior that yields lots of peeing.  LUCKILY, I was so nervous that my insides turned off and I peed exactly once from 3pm until midnight.  Seriously.  Not ok, but kind of convenient in hindsight. DSC_0190 (3)

Relating to the dress, Michelle saw that I was freaking out about my sad pale non-madeup face, and took pretty pictures of things that didn't involve acne scars.  Yay for yoga arms!_DSC8954 (2)

This is Katie, my sister's girlfriend and one of my bridesmaids.  She looks like she wandered out of a magazine, that one. _DSC8890

Meanwhile, Jay was calming his nerves by imbibing substances.  We had a conversation that ended with "nothing illegal," but other than that I was determined to not nag or make rules on his wedding day - he arrived to our first look photos sober and coherent, so I'd say it worked out well.  Brides who make rules for their husbands-to-be make me uncomfortable sometimes, but that's just me!DSC_0240 (2)

CLEARLY beer had to be a part of the boys' pregaming because, um, duh, their sweet groomsman gifts were beer mugs!  _DSC9012 (2)

I wrapped them myself.

I love this picture.  It reminds me of shampooing instructions.  Caffeinate, booze, hydrate, repeat.  _DSC9047

Once everyone was all dressed, our flower girl and 5th groomsman, who was a little younger, came over to the guys' house with Jay's cousin Julie.  Look how great they all look!  DSC_0357

Noa, our flower girl, was a tiny bit nervous.  I talked her through the rehearsal dinner, and then she and Jay discussed calming one's nerves on the day of.  She did GREAT!

Then, flowers.  DSC_0193

I'm fully obsessed with our flowers. DSC_0331

Then....FIRST LOOK!  That's coming up next, but you should know that first look was my favorite part of the day, for two reasons.  First, Jay had the most shocked expression ever - like he REALLY didn't know that I was capable of wearing non-stretchy clothes and makeup all at the same time. DSC_0361

Also because the second I saw him I wasn't nervous again for the entire day. Stand by for those shots. ๐Ÿ™‚DSC_0367
