I woke up late and then there was traffic and I look dumb and I forgot my lunch. Awesome.
I did brush my teeth, though, so there are successes in all parts of life.
Or something.
BUT, last night was really great. I did a catering tasting, saw my sister, and made all kinds of food for dinner and two upcoming events we have.
Then, we watched this!
This is most definitely my new favorite movie, and it's a DOCUMENTARY. It stands for everything I believe in and some things I didn't know I felt so strongly about. We watched it as part of our yoga meditation training and WHO. Mind = blown. Definitely rent or buy this if you get a chance - I promise, it will make you feel fuzzy on the inside and it'll make you want to make good changes in your life right now!
Also, this happened:
Poor doggie. It was kind of my fault, in a very far removed sort of way. I gave the dog a pan of bacon drippings to....pre-rinse...for me. You know, organic dishwashing and all that.
They REALLY liked it. And, apparently there wasn't enough for everyone.
Whoops.
So, now we have a girl dog with a puffy eye. Poor munchkin.
This week and next, I'm going to be focusing on some more tailgaiting food/appetizers. There are a few reasons for this: 1. appetizers are delicious, 2. everyone is doing things with football right now, and 3. holiday parties kind of involve the same kinds of food minus all the dang hot sauce.
So, there.
I'm going to share ideas for super healthy and super decadent appetizers over the next few days, and I hope you'll try them out! As I prepare for a new round of cooking, though, tell me: what appetizers are you dying to learn how to make? Do you need them to be vegetarian? Healthier? Involve certain weird ingredients? Tell me! I'll pick a few and make them as this season comes to an end. It'll be fun for me to try new things, and maybe you'll get a new recipe that's all your own!
Happy Wednesday people - two more days until the weekend!
