My little sister turned 18 last week. She's graduating from high school in 2 months.

She's 2 inches tall her than me, and reminds me constantly that she's nine years younger than me.
She says it like this. "Nine...NINE years younger," whenever I refer to her as my younger sister.
It's from a movie. Can you name it?
Anyway. She's old. One foot in the grave.
Last weekend we went downtown with her bff Eleta. Here's Eleta!
She could be my sister too. We're diverse like that.
Not.
We had a BLAST taking these pictures, and it was totally freezing. The girls, in their infinite high school wisdom, just HAD to wear skirts.
It was 37 degrees F in the sun. We shot most pictures in the shade.
I love these pictures. I was so excited of how they turned out, which is much more of a testament to how lovely my subjects were! The thing is, though, they're not just pretty girls. They're smart, and thoughtful, and really kind. That's my favorite part about them.
Can we all just take a moment to imagine what an effing BASKET CASE I'm going to be when my own children start to grow up?
Let's not. It feels icky on my insides.
