- I work late on Thursdays, and last night I went to the store on my way home and came home to everyone asleep. So I decided to wash and prep all the produce and a bunch of other foods so we'd be somewhat set for the next few days. It was hugely enjoyable to move slowly and methodically without anyone needing anything RIGHTTHISINSTANTDOITNOWMAMA, and I honestly love cooking for my family when they aren't talking to me, sorry not sorry to say.
- Here we have! Lots of our use-all-the-time favorite things. I have a bunch of Pyrex Simply Store in various sizes - I find the round stuff is best for prepped veggies and fruits, and the 3-cup rectangles are great for leftover lunch or meal portions. The dish with the green lid is full of chia pudding that I made last Sunday and we've been eating for breakfasts. I also use this Rubermaid plastic stuff and like the fit/feel of the lids a lot. It's in the top center and full of berries and cherry tomatoes.
- Kid stuff includes Avent bottles and cups, our favorites because you can swap out the nipples for spouts as they get bigger so no need to buy new things, these OXO bowls (on the right with the pink lids), and random containers of pumped milk because that is my life and it's all I do and I'm fine it'll be worth it when they're 18 and someone tells us that formula is better than breastmilk.
- In the glass container with the red lid: a super simple pasta that I hate to love. Cooked whole wheat pasta tossed in canned tomato sauce (not marinara, the really smooth kind), a few pats of butter, a few sprinkles of salt. The whole wheat pasta makes it decent, and Beck GOBBLES it up.
- This weekend! We are having focaccia and roasted veggies for dinner tonight with this Food52 tahini sauce that we make about every two weeks and eat on EVERYTHING. Tomorrow I have to do our taxes and I'm really hoping for some fun after that. We currently have no house showings scheduled which is...a good and bad thing, for obvious reasons. Wishing you some relaxing moments!
