Five for Friday

  1. We've started Snake Season in our neighborhood, aka Lindsay Becomes Afraid of Sticks For 3 Months. Will stepped on a baby snake the other day that I totally didn't see and OMG just very much not my thing. I do realize that snakes are good for the ecosystem, yes yes yes, and also my brain is like "are they really, though?"
  2. I'm thinking about starting Cinco de Mayo celebrations this weekend because why not, you know? If you've never made it, this Thai style guacamole is really, really good.
  3. Things Will Has Been Scared Of This Week: The printer, the backup beeping of a truck ("I don't want that twuck to get me!!!", and flecks of cinnamon in his oatmeal. It's FINE.
  4. Talked on Instagram this week about how we sometimes STILL aren't great with touching kids against their will. Maybe read. If it speaks to you, I'd love for you to share it with someone else.
  5. Happy weekend! We're playing with some cousins, playing some golf, playing in the backyard, lots and lots of Not Chores is the plan. And the guac. Probably some cans of wine. Avoiding sticks. Regular, completely normal things. Have a great one!
