  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the flood of messages about Callie this week. It is a strange year, and I'm finding more and more that connecting with others, even in sad times, is an important salve we all need.
  2. Since I know we have so many different types of Thanksgivings happening this year, I present to you the following: A regular Thanksgiving menu, a small Thanksgiving dinner plan, and a chicken noodle casserole because honestly chicken noodle casserole is delicious every single day of the year. Here's the foolproof roast turkey in that picture! It has 4 ingredients so you can totally handle it.
  3. How to be more present and alive in the moment. Something I practice daily. I don't know if it ever gets easy (not for me yet), but the belief that it's important keeps it a focus for me.
  4. For our Make Our Marriage Miserable task this weekend, we (Jay) are (is) hanging two TVs on walls. We've never done it before. I'm scared. There will be yelling. Right? Do I lean in to it? It'll be worth it because I can then decorate the mantle with Christmas shit? Seriously if you have ever done this leave tips. Send tots and pears.
  5. BESIDES THAT, this weekend is twinkle lights and kid time and meal prep because we are having a small Thanksgiving post lots of COVID tests (if they come back neg), and I'm just looking forward to some time at home with no plans besides watching Jay be handy. There's a batch of no-knead bread that I'm baking in a few hours, candles to be lit, messes to ignore. Have a great one!

Don't wear a belt when lifting the TV! My husband's belt buckle (small! not like a cowboy belt buckle. Just think normal) scratched the TV when he lifted it.

What a random thing to have happen, I hadn't even thought of that! Will definitely pass on that advice.
