Five for Friday

cobb salad with grilled chicken and corn

  1. This time last year! Summery Caprese Cobb Salad which, let me tell you, is the ideal "omg why is it so hot" main dish salad. I'm making something similar for dinner tonight! Grill all your stuff, drizzle it with other stuff, basically.
  2. New surprise Taylor Swift on Spotify! A pandemic GIFT, let me tell you. I'm still analyzing my feelings on the album, but so far Exile is my favorite song. So many feelings.
  3. Earlier this week on Instagram I talked about a reverse to-do list. Have you ever done this? I find that it's so helpful to squish the "I did nothing today, whattafailure" voices in my head. We literally do so many things each day that we forget them. What nonsense, truly.
  4. I educated Beck this morning at breakfast on the American national pastime of "the miserable work week before the vacation week followed by the miserable post-vacation catch up week." She seemed confused.
  5. What's your weekend looking like? We're going to the beach on Sunday! Or Monday! Or Tuesday! Because, in true 2020 fashion, there is a hurricane headed to the beach we're going to, of course there is. This is so easy to plan for, and doesn't mess up anything we've organized for food or housesitting or general life planning. It's fine, I'm fine, we're all fine. BUT, no matter what you do this weekend, wear a mask and have a wonderful one. Do fun things!
