  1. Ok, am I the only one who reads "epitome" like...."epi-tome," rhymes with THUNDERDOME? Every. Single. Time.
  2. Remember the no-knead bread from a few weeks ago? You can use it to make focaccia like I do here using store-bought pizza dough! The method is almost identical, just let the bread have a really good rise (8-12 hours), mush it into a sheet pan with oil and salt, let it hang again for 20 minutes or so, bake (use the focaccia instructions), and boom. Salty/oily bread is all we need in life, promise.
  3. Will has started racing over to me super fast when I've been gone for some time (like for 2 minutes to pee, really hard stuff he goes through), stretching up his little arms and saying "pick it up!" and it just melts me. He's all wormy and doesn't want to be held for long, but he wants to be held often throughout the day and I love it.
  4. I saw a meme the other day that was like "going back to in-person school is a terrible idea. homeschooling for an entire nation is a terrible idea. that's it. i have no more ideas." and just YES, right? I'm seeing a ton of parent-shaming about schooling decisions but honestly everything feels wrong and weird and hard. I also haven't seen a single parent not really agonize over their plan, no matter what that ends up being. Kindness, people. Kindness.
  5. Whatchoo doing this weekend? I am SEEING SOME FRIENDS, safely, and I can't even wait. I really really really struggle never seeing 90% of my people. Definitely not alone in that one, I'm sure. Have a great one! Wear sunscreen! Register to vote! Love you!
