Five for Friday

  1. Almost-quarantine, week one. HOW ARE YOU? Are you mainly inside? Work as usual? Halfway? Everything in our lives has been cancelled/stopped except for work, but I was off this week because we were supposed to be on vacation right now. Again. Jay's working from home for the foreseeable future, I'm moving all/most/unsure clients to telehealth, and I'm feeling like we're in this for the long haul.
  2. But! I'm using the opportunity to cook all of our favorite foods, which I'm sure will get old realllllly fast. I do, suggest, making double of everything and freezing stuff, because why not? Starting with ^^ breakfast cookies! These are SO nice to have around to not have to ~make~ breakfast every day.
  3. This week I've seen a lot of beer cheese recipes, usually made with Guiness, but I read them in my mind as Genius Beer Cheese and, like, isn't it?
  4. Will started to walk this week!! He's taken a few stumbly steps, but last night started walking longer and longer distances around my parents' house (they live in our neighborhood and are included in our Circle Of People We Will Infect Should We Get Sick Because They Are Our Childcare And The Only Way We Can Do Our Jobs), and then would stop, sit down, and applaud for himself. There's a White Male comparison in there, but mainly it was just SO cute and a nice reminder that everything isn't terrible. I'll try to get some videos of it on Instagram this weekend!
  5. It's my birthday tomorrow. Weird time to have a birthday. But, if you're able, get in a weekend mood and have a great one!
