Five for Friday

  1. Things Will currently eats: pancakes, cheese toast, quesadillas, pizza, pretzels, PBJ, and fruit. He is not concerned about this, and neither am I. It's making it reeeeeally interesting for Beck to eat regular food (she's mainly OK with it but we also try to not be super YOU HAVE TO EAT BRUSSELS HERE'S DESSERT, WILL), but it'll pass. I added our high chair to my shop, in case you care! We love it for high chair purposes but also really like it for an extra adult chair.
  2. On a busy week, I find it very, very exciting to wake up at 5am to get some extra work done, blink and find a STYE in my eye, and then hear Beck yelling that she has thrown up. It's clearly the universe telling me that 5am is too early for waking or work, but, still. Comically bad way to start the day.
  3. We had a snow day yesterday! And today! Here's how it went: it mainly rained, the temps stayed above 35 for all but 2 hours overnight, nothing, and I mean nothing, accumulated, and everyone that works on a not-salary lost a ton of money.
  4. Roasted Garlic BUTTER HUMMUS WHAT. Feels so right.
  5. Happy cold-ish weekend! We are taking Beck to a hockey game tonight and then tomorrow have family coming over for a multi-birthday/get-together celebration. There will be lots of kids and I can't wait. I made a whole dry-glazed ham a few weeks ago, froze leftovers, and am using them to make ham delights, one of the MOST popular recipes on my site. They're melty ham sandwiches doused in butter so....highly recommend. Have a great one!
