- For your new year, up there! Turkey Black-Eyed Pea Soup with Kale and Tomatoes. Some of my favorite flavors, and if it MIGHT bring good luck it can't be a bad thing, right? Right.
- Also for the new year, Jay and some guys on his team are doing Whole30 for January. I will not be doing this, because I don't want to. But! I'm going to support him as much as I can, he's ok with a few non-strict adjustments, and I'll make dinners compliant on nights that we cook at home. I'd love to know your experiences if you've done it, recipes and ingredients you found particularly helpful or delicious, all of the things. I'm curious!
- Two years ago today, I wrote about Beck being three weeks old - it already seemed like we'd had her a lifetime. The day before THAT, I wrote about buffalo oven fries, which you should probably make ASAP for some kind of sports watching.
- The kids next door to us got a trampoline for Christmas, and while I'm SO excited for them, I also wish they would never jump ever during nap time. NO FUN FOR TWO HOURS GUYS COME ON. It's hard.
- Happy New Year's weekend! I can't believe the holidays are ending, and I know that 2018 will fly just like 2017 did. We are keeping things super low key, hanging out with our parents, testing some new food, and I'll likely end up the only one awake at midnight on Sunday, which is fine by me because it means no sharing the remote, which is really what New Year's is about, right?
