They also have a house dressing. This dressing it's .... different. People always think it's a honey mustard variation, but in REALITY, it's creamy balsamic dressing.
We did a little bit of prodding the bartenders, and learned that the secret to this gem is mayo - in a balsamic dressing! I'm not a huge fan of sweet dressings OR balsamic vinegar, but I order this dressing every single time we go to this place. It's SO GOOD.
The at-home recreation is super duper similar, super duper simple, and super duper delicious. Let's make it!
You need honey, balsamic vinegar, mayo, and a tiny bit of garlic and onion. A TINY bit. Don't get greedy.
To make the dressing, just pop the ingredients in a
Taste the dressing, and add some more mayo or vinegar depending if you want a creamier or more tangy version. Mine isn't terribly sweet, but still has that "sweet dressing" feel. The key is to really blend the heck out of this dressing so that the onion and garlic are flavorings but don't add texture.
To serve, BUTTER LETTUCE is awesome with this dressing - but any salad you like would be delicious with this! I think walnuts on a salad add a lot to the flavor of balsamic ANYTHING so maybe walnuts!
When serving, just drizzle a little dressing on at first. Since it's a bit sweet, you don't need much - too much of this dressing hides the lovely fresh veg it's accompanying!

Creamy Balsamic Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 small clove garlic
- 1 inch piece onion
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until very smooth. Taste, and add more mayo, vinegar, or honey to your taste.
- Serve with your favorite salad!
