So, we've been home from the beach for a week.

I saw my dad on Thursday night and he was all "ya recovered from the bummer of being home yet?" Poor guy. He had a good time.
So, to celebrate a weirdly rainy Monday with way too much to do this week, let's look back, mmkay? We don't need to get into busy week stuff just yet.
We went to Sullivan's Island near Charleston this year for the first time. Jay has spent many summer vacay's on the island with his family, and this week we got a week at the house that his family rents. It was GREAT, and my family was all about it.
We had our family, then my sister's girlfriend Katie, Jay, and my other sister's friend Eleta, who Jay spent the week tormenting by calling her variations of her name.
Elitist turned out to be the favorite.
We spent the majority of the time daydrinking, going to fabulous lunches, and mocking each other, naturally. At one point I told my sister Emily that I wanted the long-haired other members of our family to help me with some up hairstyles that aren't a dang topknot because that's ALL I do with my hair. The yoga and cooking don't really lend themselves to wearing my hair down ever, but I'm sick of having exactly one hairstyle.
My sister looked at me and said "hairnet," before going back to her mimosa.
I loled.
Naturally we had to take family pictures on the beach, which is always SUPER FUN getting nine people dressed kind of similarly all at the same time. My sweet mama wanted to include the dogs, and since pictures sans dogs end up like this, I was glad she was overruled:
We celebrated our first anniversary, my parent's anniversary, and graduation while we were at the beach, too!
We went to a fabulous dinner for our anniversary, and one of my sisters super helpfully took about 13 pictures that were fuzzy. So....memories.
My mother gathered up all the robes from high school and college graduations past, and everyone put one on and sang the graduation song to me on the day I would have walked, which was adorable and hilarious all at the same time. My sisters also got me a cute pillow for any therapy couches I may work near in the future, which was an especially nice touch.
Since graduation was over, we decided that we need something new to countdown to. So, we went with Christmas. Because, never mind that we have tons of family birthdays and thanksgiving in the fall, we're ALL ABOUT GETTING PRESENTS, so, since it's Monday and the beach is over...
...128 days until Christmas!
That doesn't seem like very many. Let this picture of us not jumping play ya out.
