Baby + Toddler Gift List

Tis the season!  

Well, you've probably done all of the shopping in the world that you need to do, and THAT'S GREAT FOR YOU.  I, on the other hand, have barely started.  I've gotten gifts for most of my friends and our adopt-a-kid gifts are due Thursday, THEN I'll move on to our families.  It's just how the year has gone.  

But!  My favorite people to buy for are babies, hands down.  I'm fully obsessed with baby gear and like having a few different-but-practical ideas for kids + parents.  Christmas is a perfect time for a few overpriced gems, so spoil away!  PS some of these links are Amazon Affiliate links, which means I get like $1 of whatever you buy if you use the link down there, so that's nice.  

Here are some favorites for babies of all ages:  

• For newborns or anyone living in cold weather, I'm a big fan of the Burt's Bees quilts.  They aren't crazy huge, but they're nice and fluffy and do well in the washer and dryer.  We've used ours on trips to create kind of a play mat/area for Beck, and we use it in her room for nursing or peek-a-boo when we're home.  I have the gray one and love it so much - I wish there was a full-sized version!
• Hanna Andersson PJs.  Preferably the onesies, and preferably on sale.  They're expensive but super adorable and allegedly last a really long time.  I've made a few orders on big sale days (stuff discounted + free shipping + a coupon code) and we've loved everything so far.  A one-piece PJ with a matching hat is my jam for a gift.  
• This is a larger item, but we loved our baby jumper so, so much for several months.  We have one similar to this Fisher Price one, and I vote jumper over exersaucer every day of my life.  Most babies I know like the gravity feeling of jumping more than swaying, but that's just my opinion!  
• Also in the 4-9 month baby range, anything that rattles is a lovely gift.  Beck is still into stuff that shakes, even though she gets bored of it pretty quickly.  We have this set of rattly birds on loan from a friend, and it is still a favorite.  With rattles, we found that Beck preferred smaller items that weren't hard for her to lift, especially when she was smaller.  This is incredibly annoying for parents because the things are forever getting lost, but I suppose it stands to reason that kids like things proportional to themselves.  
• Beck is really into putting things together and taking things apart, so I'm really into blocks.  I'm looking around for a big set for her, but Duplo and Mega Blocks are standard, affordable, and plastic which means washable.  Also Jay and I really like building things.  
• We love getting gifts as books, and for a little extra touch it's nice to have a little toy that goes with the book.  We have a few Eric Carle toys like these (The Hungry Caterpillar is a fan favorite), and I love the idea of the Jellycat book sets.  
• We just got this VTech walker from Jay's mom last week for Beck's birthday, and Beck LOVES it.  The removable phone is of course her favorite part, mainly because she loves to play with my phone, and we find the noises on it less annoying than some toys, which is saying a lot.  Anything that kids can crawl on or push around is a winner for us - Beck started liking stuff like that around 10 months.  

What else, what else?  I have a few more babies in my life to buy for and am ready for some new ideas.
