- I made sugar cookies yesterday, big gloriously chewy ones. I'm going to share that recipe next week, but this weekend I'm also buying the ingredients for these almond pine nut cookies. They're a favorite of ours from a bakery we visit in NYC, and I love them at Christmas because they're slightly fancy but super easy to make. Happening this weekend!
- Will is 6 weeks old today, and beyond omghowfasttimeisflying, I honestly don't think I did as much laundry in the last 6 months as I've done in the last 6 weeks. The spit up is unreal and so stinky. Luckily he is super duper cute.
- Last night I saw a few clients (very slowly back to work-ish), and Beck slept at my parents' house so we took ourselves out to dinner when I got done. We went to a new Mexican place and I ordered Carne Asada, which was in fact a steak with no sides in a red Mexican sauce. Not carne asada in the slightest. It was good but I felt jipped in a variety of ways and now I'm DYING for carne asada.
- Beck found a Curious George movie on Hulu that involved The Man With the Yellow Hat flying an airplane for the first time using only a manual, and then saying "George, if I can fly a plane you can!" all with no license or supervision. This is not a good message for children.
- Happy weekend! It's raining here all weekend AGAIN so we'll be in our regular routine of me attempting to work (won't happen) and clean the house (maybe) mixed with keeping Beck entertained (cookies) and attempting some sleep. But first, carne asada.
